Blanket Exercises

The Blanket Exercise employs Indigenous methodologies to foster comprehension of our collective history as both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in Canada. It guides participants through pivotal stages, including pre-contact, treaty-making, colonization, and resistance. Through active engagement, individuals step onto blankets symbolizing the land, assuming the roles of First Nations, Inuit, and later Métis peoples.

These events are open to the general public. Our goal is to not only enhance your awareness of cultural safety, but also to help you begin to see how it relates to your day-to-day life.
